Exactly two months ago I was living in England, but spending a week in Paris with one of my best friends.

I am from Berkeley. I was born in New Orleans, lived in Tucson for 11 years and wound up in the best city in California. Attended a university in the U.K. My idols are those who write books that make me feel something. I am a fiction writer. I also write about music. I feel most like myself in Moe's Bookstore with a large coffee in hand. I write in my head before I put words on paper. The first book I ever read that I refused to put down was the biography of Eleanor Roosevelt for a third grade book report. The first song I ever loved was, "Space Jam." I read more than one book at a time. Wearing knit hats makes me feel mysterious and I like going to the MoMA for hours with my friends.
