I am from Berkeley. I was born in New Orleans, lived in Tucson for 11 years and wound up in the best city in California. Attended a university in the U.K. My idols are those who write books that make me feel something. I am a fiction writer. I also write about music. I feel most like myself in Moe's Bookstore with a large coffee in hand. I write in my head before I put words on paper. The first book I ever read that I refused to put down was the biography of Eleanor Roosevelt for a third grade book report. The first song I ever loved was, "Space Jam." I read more than one book at a time. Wearing knit hats makes me feel mysterious and I like going to the MoMA for hours with my friends. For those who aren’t gluten intolerant, I’m not sure you’ll fully appreciate this cake. Not only was it gluten free, but vegan. I’m not vegan, but the fact that this cafe in Bristol was able to make something vegan choclatey and yummy was a miracle.
